My
Story

I grew up as a country girl on the Eastern Shore, living in poverty, in a trailer, in dysfunction.  I was raised in the Assemblies of God Church, where I was taught that obedience was holiness and that my worth came from how well I served others. I went on to study at Liberty University, earning my degree in Biblical Studies and stepping into a life of ministry. For years, I worked in pastoral roles and lived as the kind of “trad wife” my church celebrated — married to the man a prophet told me I was destined to marry.

But beneath all that devotion, I was quietly disappearing. My voice, my needs, and my identity had been buried under layers of religious expectation and patriarchal conditioning. Eventually, the cracks in that life became too deep to ignore. I began therapy fourteen years ago and started a twenty-year journey of deconstructing from Christian nationalism and reclaiming my autonomy as a woman — and as a human being.

Along the way, I’ve become endlessly curious about how we heal. I’ve spent years studying Polyvagal Theory, nervous system regulation, attachment theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and somatic healing — the science of returning to our body to feel safe again. I’ve learned, through both education and lived experience, that self-love and emotional safety are not luxuries; they are survival skills.

Today, as a trauma-informed coach, I help women heal from religious and relationship abuse, rebuild trust in themselves, and learn how to love again — starting with themselves. Through my 1:1 coaching calls, online trauma course, and women’s retreats in Charlotte, North Carolina, I teach what I’ve lived: that it’s possible to heal, to thrive, and to live a life you actually choose.

I’m also a single mother of four teenagers and college students, including a transgender son — which has deepened my understanding of compassion, advocacy, and what it means to create safety in love. I’m a proud ally of the LGBTQ+ community and a lifelong advocate for women’s rights and empowerment.

When I’m not coaching, you’ll probably find me reading, researching, or creating something new — always learning, always unlearning. I started my social media journey in October 2021 to remind people that the thoughts in their head don’t make them broken or crazy — they make them human. My goal is to help women see that healing isn’t about perfection; it’s about presence, curiosity, and coming home to yourself.

Because I’ve been through a lot — and that’s exactly why I can help you find your way through, too.
